1. Make sure you are allowed to place a home on the location you are taking it to. Please

be advised that most places in B.C. do require a building permit to place a mobile or

modular home. You can get more information from your local municipality or regional

district.

2. Before we can move any mobile or modular home, a transport permit must be obtained

by the owner from Service BC. WE will need a copy of this permit before our trucks

leave our yard. Also be advised that all property taxes must be paid before a transport

permit will be issued.

3. Please make sure that your site is properly prepared before our crews arrive. All

additional structures such as boot rooms, decks, etc. must be moved out of the way to

allow adequate room for our truck to maneuver (to prevent extra charges).

1. All contents and furniture must be removed from your home before transporting.

2. All chimneys and vents that are higher than the peak of the roof, must be removed.

3. All satellite dishes or anything else that protrudes out of the side of the home, must be

removed.

4. All water lines, power cables, phone lines etc. must be disconnected.

5. Drywall cracking and trim “popping” is normal during transport.

6. Siding must be secure, as we will not be responsible for siding that blows off in

transport. Older style metal siding on old homes is often loose, and must have strapping

applied to the whole home, to hold it intact for transport.

7. Appliances (especially fridges) must be secured to the wall, as they may shift during

transport and cause damage.

8. All light shades, cabinet drawers, sliding glass closet doors, shower doors, etc. must be

removed and secured in a safe spot, or be lying on the floor where they cannot shift

during transport.

9. Exterior patio doors need to be secured so they do not slide open and close during

transport.

10. Regular exterior doors must be left unlocked during transport to prevent damage to the

door lock. Our driver will secure the exterior doors as well as storm doors.
